Cooperative Meeting on Food Innovation and Food Contact Materials with Japanese Organizations

       Dr. Suthiweth T. Saengchantara, Director General of Department of Science Service (DSS) along with team of scientists participated in the cooperative meetings on food innovation and food contact materials during 29 August – 1 September 2017 with four Japanese scientific organizations, as follows;

  1. National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ), Tsukuba
  2. Toyo Seikan Group, Yokohama
  3. Food Research Institute (NFRI), Tsukuba
  4. Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL), Tama

       According to the meeting, DSS proposed to extend the scope of collaboration to NMIJ and to collaborate with Japanese organizations in various areas, for instance, research and development in measurement standards, measuring equipment and analytical techniques in the field of physical and chemical metrology, research and development in functional foods, information exchange on testing methods and regulations. The invitation of Japanese experts to be guest speakers in order to provide the knowledge on food innovation and food contact materials for Thai industries, etc., was also included. The details of collaborations will be discussed further.
